“It’s been a heck of a week… and it’s ONLY Tuesday!” Does this sound familiar? It does to me…. I find myself saying this far more than I should.
Most of us moms take on more than humanly possible some days. We just hold our arms out and ask for more to be piled on… because we can “handle it”. Until we are so stressed out, exhausted or even become physically ill from not taking care of ourselves.
Being a mother of four, a wife, a trainer, a business woman and with everything else that life throws my way, I never could find time to refuel my tank. There is always something that needs to be done. Well, that’s exactly it…. there will always be something that needs doing… it will wait for you. I will admit that I am stubborn but have finally realized that I cannot save the world and if I want to take good care of the ones I love, I must take care of myself first!
Women usually feel that doing for others is rewarding. I have learned however, that doing for you is rewarding to others.

| Pre/Post Natal Training
In the past, it was common for women to adopt a more sedentary lifestyle during pregnancy, often times refraining from physical activity for the ensuing nine months. Today, it is common knowledge that exercise can positively impact a woman’s body to better prepare her for birthing process as well as aid in swift recovery after the delivery. Some health concerns associated with improper exercise during pregnancy are back pain, increased body temperature, reduced blood and oxygen flow to the fetus, and the effects the hormone relaxin has on the women’s joints.
At Apogee Fitness Solutions we specialize in designing safe and effective Pre and Post Natal programs for new mothers and mothers-to-be, taking into account the specific needs at each stage of pregnancy or recovery. Following the guidelines set by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), our trainers will design a customized fitness program that is safe, effective and specifically tailored to your individual needs. Our workouts are tailored to provide both mom and baby with optimal comfort through professional and personal program design.

Your nutrition during pregnancy is critical. Most pregnant women do not get the required nutrients from food alone. Healthy food choices along with prenatal vitamins are important to achieve optimal health for you and your baby. Let our Certified Nutritionists teach you how to choose the foods that are the best for you and your baby's health.
During this consultation, our Certified Nutritionist will review your nutritional goals, medical history, laboratory tests, and a three day food diary. After careful analysis, our nutritionist will critique your current diet and outline recommendations to improve your eating habits. We will help guide you safely through your pregnancy and meet your nutritional needs!
